Het Anker’s success stems from years of hard work and dedication, always driven by a clear vision. Since taking over the brewery in the 19th century, we haven't just expanded production; we’ve also introduced a range of new experiences, including guided tours of our production process, a restaurant, a hotel, a microbrewery, and a variety of engaging events in and around our historic brewery. Our strong commitment to quality, tradition, family values, and a forward-looking vision shapes everything we do. Since the 19th century, when the Van Breedam-Leclef family took over the brewery in Mechelen’s 'Groot Begijnhof', we’ve always put quality first. Five generations later, under the guidance of Charles Leclef, that dedication remains unshakable: Het Anker stands as a symbol of excellence, continuously blending tradition with innovation.
